Prof. Dr. Akın ÖZDEN
Born in Izmir in 1959, Prof. Dr. Akın Özden completed his elementary, middle, and high school education in Izmir before graduating from the Ege University School of Medicine in 1984.
He completed his residency in General Surgery in 1990 at the General Surgery Clinic of the Ministry of Health’s Izmir Atatürk Training and Research Hospital.
After working for one year as a general surgeon at Elazığ State Hospital, he began his academic career in the Department of General Surgery at Fırat University School of Medicine.
Dr. Akın ÖZDEN moved to the Department of General Surgery at Pamukkale University School of Medicine in March 1995, and was promoted to Associate Professor in October 1995 and to Professor in 2001.
He has performed successful surgeries in the field of General Surgery, particularly in Endocrine Surgery, and has published works both domestically and internationally.
Prof. Akın ÖZDEN, who speaks English, is married and the father of three children.
